So it was about 10:30 PM, a half hour before curfew and I was sitting in the nearby parks gazebo with four of my friends from school including Geneva. Now Geneva's the only one under age so we knew we'd have to get her home soon but we still were just sitting around and talking it up.
SUDDENLY.
A guy comes riding in on his bike through the park, a cop car right on his tail! We look to the other side of the park and another cop car was headed for the guy, they cornered him not ten feet from the gazebo.
Now, we couldn't hear what they were talking about, merely joking about what it could be and hoping they also couldn't hear us. The two girls that were with us, Kattie and Maya were a bit freaked, hopping one the cops weren't going to come over but I knew that of course one was eventually gonna come over just because of how late it was and cops in this town are jerks.
Ten more minutes went by and what do you know, one of them did indeed come over. This guy was slightly overweight and he had a big air about him. His first question was the very one I had predicted.
He looked around and asked if any of us were under age. Neva, being the only one raised her hand innocently and shy and the cop just says "Perfect!Perfect!" And proceeded to take his pen and notebook. I, as was everyone else in the group was thinking "quota time"
It was still not quite time for curfew so Neva asked "I'm not in trouble right? Its still not 11"
The cop just said "Oh no, I'm glad your here. We just caught a registered sex offender and he's not aloud to be in public places with children"
OMFG.
Crazzzzzzzy.
She SO ruined that sex offenders life because ANY OTHER NIGHT at 10:45pm there would not have been a 'child' sitting around in that park. In fact, not many children or adults go to that park as it is. It sucks XD
So, story two...
Its been a dream of mine to be hired on at the local Taco Bell (or to get any job in general but Taco Bell was just so convenient and I know everyone who works there already) but I had pretty much given up for this season. (I job hunt in seasons XD)
Still, this Taco Bell is like a home to me, free drinks, sometimes free food. I know some of the other frequent customers.... I basically live there. Nice atmosphere if you know what I mean. I spend hours at a time there doing nothing in particular.
So Halloween was coming up, my FAVORITE holiday of ALL TIME and they have a decorating contest with the other Taco Bells in the county where they decorate the whole place for the chance too win some money and throw the workers a party.
One of my friends, a employee was working on her cardboard tomb stone of which had been distributed to all employees to decorate and knowing I'm a pretty decent artist she INSISTED that I help her with the lettering.
Course I agreed, I was a bit bored so I helped. Connie, the manager (whom I thought didn't like me for many reasons) saw me helping my friend and said "If you want I'll just give you your own too work on" and gave me my own. I mean, the more decor, the better her chances of wining right?
I thought it would be fun so I accepted and when I looked around at what the other workers were using to decorate theirs with I decided I was gonna run home and get my markers and colored pencils. If I was gonna do this, I was gonna do it right dammit.
I mean, how many people get to help decorate Taco Bell for Halloween? AWESOME.
So I ran home and back armed with boxes of art supplys and went to work. I also let all my friends and the other employees I didn't know use my art stuff cause I'm nice and Halloween better be awesome.
Latter when the manager resurfaced and walked through the lobby to see how everyone was doing on there tomb stones she saw all my stuff and playfully called me a brat then thanked me XD
Weeeeee~ I was getting on the managers good side.
Now just so you all know, I did NOT have ulterior motives for helping, I just love Halloween. Though I did want some of there old posters for my Halloween costume.
Soon after that alot of my friends had me helping them with art needs and such. I ended up helping them for 6 hours that day.
I promptly went back to help further for the next two days in the same increments of time.
Can you believe that over the course of three days I spent 18 hours decorating Taco Bell for Halloween? It was so much fun!
One of those days Connie asked if I would help her with her tomb stone! I felt so honored lol
A couple of times some of my friends told me they cornered her, insisting that she hire me. I found it funny and you know, if it landed me a job, that would be awesome.
This story then moves on to Halloween night...
I had told everyone that my Halloween costume was Taco Bell themed. Some of the things I had taken included 2 extra large cups, about 100 assorted burrito and taco wrappers and of course the old posters. (I'll get pics up sometime soon hopefully) Even Connie anticipated my costume.
When I came in Taco Bell that night in full glory... My good friend Pogo cornered Connie on the spot, right in front of me saying that I did so much for Taco Bell this Halloween and how AWESOME my costume was that she should hire me!
I was like OMG Pogo, what are you doing in my mind, I felt bad like I was "turning her employees against her"
But she loved my costume and promptly said that I was next on her list!
It would be soooooooooooooo cool if I get the job... I really need a job anywhoo...
Since then Connie's told me twice that I was indeed next on the list to get hired... A couple of people have told me that when Connie says something, she does it. I'm still so excited.
About a week later Connie had the big bosses meeting at our local Taco Bell where basically all the managers from Taco Bells around the county meet up and talk about things.
I couldn't believe it when she told me but she showed all my stuff off to the other bosses, including the coloring pages I had done for their Halloween coloring contest for kids.
Not only did she want me to do more coloring pages for the Christmas coloring contest but apparently some of the other Taco Bells wanted my art for their Christmas coloring contest too! Like OMG.
I of course said I'd help again... Even though I don't like Christmas as much XD
(on a funny side note, lately me and my friend Erick have been hanging out and we ended up buying a Tiramisu cake from Safeway, then bringing it to Taco Bell to eat it. We were sharing it with all the employees and Connie emerged from behind the counter declaring she wanted some too ((She LOVES chocolate apparently)) and I just told her to grab a spork and dig in, which she did! Funny stuff.)
That leads to today, I found out that one of my favorites of the older crew had quit her job! I was sad to hear that she quit cause I really liked her but .... I think that means I might possibly get a job soon? Connie wasen't there today so its like "OMG CLIFFHANGER"
I hope so XD
I also stuck around with Neva and we drew about 10 pages for the x-mas coloring contest and told one of the employees to stash them somewhere Connie will see them tomorrow.....
Yeah, NOW I kinda have some ulterior motives....
I doubt ANYONE is gonna read this all but I didn't want to forget it all so this was the best place I could think of to write it all, I don't own a real journal or anything lol
